We’re looking for a Kitchen Hand to support our Chef with daily kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, washing dishes, maintaining required records, and cleaning and closing the kitchen each afternoon. You’ll also be confident stepping into the Chef role when needed, such as during leave periods.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A high standard of kitchen hygiene.
• Previous cooking or food preparation experience.
• Brings a positive, caring approach to every task, helping create a welcoming, child-centred kitchen environment.
• Understands that mealtimes are about more than just serving food.
• Supports children’s wellbeing by preparing nutritious meals that promote healthy growth and learning.
You’ll also be willing to obtain:
• A Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• A Food Safety Certificate (can be obtained once you start)
Early childhood qualifications would be an advantage but are not required.

This is a permanent part-time role, working 9:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility available upon further discussion. Pay rates will be aligned with qualifications and the relevant award level, with early childhood qualifications considered. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
