Apiarist/Beekeeper – Full-Time Position

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Apiarists / Beekeepers to join our team as we continue to grow.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating the breeding and raising of bees, including queen bee rearing, to ensure strong and productive colonies.
- Regularly inspecting hives for signs of disease or pests, and administering nutrition, medication, and pest control to maintain colony health and biosecurity.
- Harvesting and processing honey, beeswax, propolis, royal jelly, and bee pollen to meet commercial and quality standards.
- Transporting and managing hives for pollination of crops, helping farmers achieve better yields through natural ecosystem support.
- Overseeing the upkeep of hives and beekeeping equipment, ensuring all tools and facilities are in optimal working condition.
- Maintaining detailed records of hive inspections, honey yields, breeding activity, and overall apiary performance.
- Participating in budgeting, taxation, and capital planning, and where applicable, training and supervising staff or contractors involved in beekeeping operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Apiary/Beekeeping position
- Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and organising apiaries to produce honey, beeswax, royal jelly, and pollination services.
- Competence in hive manipulations including splitting colonies, queen breeding, swarm control, and seasonal feeding.
- Ability to maintain records on colony performance, honey yield, and treatment schedules in compliance with biosecurity and industry regulations.
- Experience in harvesting, extracting, grading, and packaging honey and other hive products for commercial sale.
- Commitment to sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices, including supporting biodiversity and ecological balance.
