About the role
To contribute to and be part of the community-based, multidisciplinary area health team to support clients and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through comprehensive, co-ordinated and integrated multidisciplinary services, provision of client-centred care to community members from a broad range of backgrounds, contribution to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community-based Podiatry service, and meeting the program and area health team key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities
* Provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary consumer care, including assessment, care planning, treatment, review, and measuring outcomes.
* Independently manage a day-to-day clinical caseload, ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time, and in line with Barwon Health policies and consumer care standards.
* Demonstrate leadership and professional collaboration, contributing to committees, service development, clinical policies, and working effectively with stakeholders.
* Support ongoing learning and development, including supervision of junior staff/students, participation in quality improvement, research activities, and maintaining professional registration and CPD requirements.
What we're looking for
* Current registration with the Podiatry Registration Board of Australia.
* At least 2 years' experience in a community setting, with the ability to practice independently and manage clinical responsibilities.
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including building strong working relationships and collaborating with other health professionals.
* Ability to work independently while consulting and collaborating with others, delivering culturally safe and inclusive care aligned with Barwon Health values.
