Fortis Industries is interviewing for positions of Full Time Custodian for our contract in Ft. Worth, TX. This posting is for multiple positions on the current contract providing services to the three primary buildings of Fritz Lanham, Federal Courthouse, and Federal Parking Garage.
CUSTODIAN JOB DUTIES
* Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties.
* Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
* Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
* Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
* Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
* Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
* Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
* Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use.
* Following instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace.
Requirements
* Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying and storing items
* Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning
* Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
* Must be able to work with a team
* Must be able to follow instructions
* Must be reliable and willing to perform assigned daily tasks
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must be able to work a schedule of 35 hours or more per week
This is a union position. Pay and benefits are dictated by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
