Key Responsibilities
• Conduct and oversee chemical analysis (pH, TA, SO₂, alcohol, Baume, VA, turbidity, etc.)
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and instruments
• Develop and implement SOPs and safety protocols
• Manage fruit receival sampling and analysis during vintage
• Provide real-time data to guide fermentation and winemaking decisions
• Oversee weighbridge operations and ensure accurate fruit weight recording
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, Organic, and SWA standards
• Supervise and mentor lab technicians and seasonal staff
What You’ll Bring
• Qualifications in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Oenology, Food Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a winery laboratory or similar workplace
• Strong understanding of wine chemistry and microbiology
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in lab software and data systems
