About the role:
As a psychologist you will be responsible for evaluating children's abilities and participation, before working collaboratively to develop and deliver tailored intervention plans that enhance skills, independence, and engagement in play, learning, and social relationships.
Duties include:
* Deliver psychology services that reflect a family-centred and strength-based approach, while recognising and addressing any limitations or challenges to maximise outcomes and participation.
* Recommend and support the use of tools and aids that measure progress and positive change for everyone.
* Provide guidance and support to parents and carers, empowering them to foster development at home and in the community to achieve agreed therapy goals.
* Apply evidence-based practice and strong clinical reasoning to deliver high-quality, client-focused assessments and interventions.
About you:
* Current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (General or Clinical)
* Current APS membership.
* Previous clinical experience and/or experience working with children with developmental disability.
* Demonstrated a solid understanding of issues/concepts/resources which include but are not limited to community and social inclusion, disability funding schemes, and educational support systems.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective high level working relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
$80k-$85k base + Super
