The Role
We are seeking an accomplished senior leader to head our Public Affairs function, providing strategic direction across communications, marketing, government relations and partnerships. This pivotal role leads a high‐performing multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated communication strategies that build community trust, protect and enhance the Town's reputation, and effectively promote Council initiatives. You will represent the Town with confidence and credibility, foster strong relationships with government agencies and elected officials, and lead advocacy efforts to secure funding and policy support aligned with Council priorities.
As a trusted adviser to senior leadership, you will provide high‐level insight on emerging trends, risks and opportunities, guiding long‐term strategy and positioning. You will oversee internal and external communications, partnerships and operational delivery, ensuring compliance, effective governance and alignment with organisational values of Unity, Quality and Integrity. This is an opportunity for a strategic, values‐driven leader to make a lasting impact‐connecting people, policy and purpose to deliver meaningful outcomes for the community.

Work Related Requirements
* A degree qualification in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations with extensive relevant experience
* National Police Clearance
* Rights to work in Australia
* Willingness to undergo a pre‐employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
