This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the community through training and development. You will be working with a diverse team, delivering high-level training and coaching as a Training Officer.
The role requires extensive travel throughout the Outback Stores' network of retail outlets across multiple regions. You will deliver training and advocate for retail training programs to employees working in remote communities.
We are seeking someone who can form strong bonds with current employees, stakeholders, and has the passion to want people to succeed in their individual employee development.
You will engage and encourage employees to develop their skills, enjoy remote travel, and manage challenges that come with being remote. As a Training Officer, you will be able to share your knowledge, collaborate with community members, and enjoy some of the most remote parts of Australia.
* Plan, design, and deliver engaging and effective training tailored directly to the specific needs of the indigenous workforce.
* Conduct assessments of employees to ensure their competency in performing tasks is in accordance with relevant training packages.
* Collaborate with operational and store management to identify potential trainees and coordinate enrolments.
* Evaluate training and assessment processes to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and industry standards.
* Promote a safety-focused culture in all areas of the workplace.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment qualification.
* Experience in mentoring, training, and developing a diverse team.
* Experience in delivering training packages to frontline team members.
* Previous experience in retail is an advantage.
* Self-motivation and ability to manage own workload.
* Sound customer service and relationship building skills.
* Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn new software.
