We have over 50 years' experience in the mining sector and are 100% Western Australian. We are currently searching for aProject Engineerfor our Pilbara division, FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland.
As a Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing engineering projects from concept to completion. You'll work closely with project managers, technical specialists, and clients to ensure all aspects of the project align with performance, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
You will serve as a key technical liaison, ensuring that designs are executed properly, risks are mitigated, and deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
Your key responsibilities will cover:
* Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of projects
* Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and technical documentation
* Liaise between engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams
* Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
* Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, challenges, and metrics
* Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements
* Support procurement activities, including vendor selection, RFIs, and material submittals
* Manage change orders, project documentation, and closeout procedures
What you will bring to the role:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
* 2-5 years of relevant experience in project engineering or technical project coordination
* Strong technical acumen with ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
* Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes (where applicable)
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
