**Duties**:

- Serves as a Senior Telecommunications Specialist and advisor to the Chief of the DISA PAC Guam Field Office focusing on Australia managing telecommunications integration.
- Acts as a consultant to the Chief of DISA PAC Guam on all matters pertaining to the planning, analyzing, coordination, and implementation of telecommunications activities for a broad range of complex projects.
- Manages telecommunications integration for the planning, development, deployment, installation, provisioning, operations, maintenance, logistics support and Quality Assurance of existing and current telecommunications systems.
- Coordinates with and assists other government agencies, contractors, and foreign governments in the planning, implementation, and maintenance information systems for Australia.
- Manages day-to-day US DODIN operations as a DISA PAC Senior Specialist working in the Australia DNOC. Ensures 24x7 on-demand DISN support is available to USINDOPACOM mission partners operating in and around Australia.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position requires travel time away up to 50%.
- The position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ADP I/Critical Sensitive clearance.
- This is a Key Position. This position cannot be vacated during an emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position requires a health assessment.
- This is an Emergency Essential position. This position provides immediate and continuing support for combat operations and/or supports the maintenance and repair of combat essential systems of the armed forces.
- This is a Mission Essential position.

**Qualifications**:

- In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
- **Qualifying Experience**:To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
- **For this position, qualifying experience is defined as initiating, coordinating, presenting, and defending leadership viewpoints, negotiating agreements for controversial information technology issues, and making authoritative technical decisions and commitments within general policy limitations, on matters impacting an organization.**
- **Additional Information**
- This is a Key Position. This position cannot be vacated during an emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively. In accordance with DOD Instruction 1200.07, Screening the Ready Reserve, the incumbent of a Key Position be removed from any Ready Reservist or military recall status.
- This is a Mission Essential position. The nature of the position's duties and the organization's operational mission requires the incumbent to physically report to their duty station in certain situations where non-essential employees are excused, such as during national emergencies, extreme weather situations, mission critical systems outages, and/or other scenarios as deemed appropriate at the highest levels of the organization's chain of command. As part of the Mission Essential designation, the incumbent may be placed in a 24/7 standby or recall status and be required to carry a mobile phone or other similar device to be directly recalled to duty from a recall roster. The incumbent may also be required to physically report to an alternate duty station during the activation of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan.
- Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
- A three year probationary or trial period may be required.
