Diabetes Care Specialist
This role involves the development, provision, and evaluation of diabetes clinical and community nursing care within a Tasmanian Health Service framework.
Clinical service outcomes are improved through research and quality improvement activities, participating in statewide and national research, publication, and education in diabetes.
The successful candidate will lead senior nurses practicing in diabetes and ensure that they have advanced competence in evidence-based nursing practice in diabetes.
* Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner in Australia is required.
The Diabetes Centre delivers multidisciplinary care for adults, adolescents, and children with type 1 and complex type 2 diabetes through inpatient and outpatient services.
A key aspect of this role is to provide education to health professionals and teachers on diabetes management, enabling them to deliver high-quality patient care.
