Join Our St. Paul's Aged Care Team as a Chef – Create meals that matter! At Lutheran Services, we believe that food is more than just nourishment, it's a source of comfort, connection, and joy. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Chef to be part of a team creating high‐quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our aged‐care residents.
Role Type: Casual – flexible working shifts across all days
Roster Hours:
* Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (9:30 AM–5:30 PM)
* Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (6:00 AM–2:00 PM)
Location: Caboolture – QLD
Remuneration: $39.28 ph (incl. 25% casual loading) + Super + Salary Packaging + Staff discounts & benefits.
Your Role – More Than Just Cooking
* Prepares and presents varied, nourishing, and appetising meals that align with dietary needs and preferences.
* Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment while meeting hygiene and compliance standards.
* Collaborates with catering staff, residents, and care teams to enhance meal services.
* Works with the Head Chef to foster a high‐performance, team‐driven culture.
* Assists with menu planning, budgeting, and stock control.
* Innovates with the team to deliver continuous improvement in cost‐effectiveness and resident satisfaction.
What You Bring to the Table
* A relevant trade qualification – Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally in aged care or large‐scale catering.
* A valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
* Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff.
* Knowledge of safe food handling practices and WHS compliance.
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
