This is a development opportunity being offered as a Senior Medical Practitioner Year 1-9. Level and Increment will be determined by the successful applicant's skills, knowledge, and ability in the role.
This is a recruitment pool for a fixed term sessional appointment at 4 Sessions / 16 hours per fortnight (0.2 FTE), with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. The successful candidate should be available to be rostered for Friday sessions to cover departmental/clinical commitments.
Position Profile:
We are seeking passionate and experienced persons to join our Metabolic Medicine department located at Perth Children's Hospital. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Consultant – Paediatrician – Metabolic Medicine provides specialist Metabolic Medicine services to patients. You will promote patient quality and safety and provides leadership, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other Consultants and the Clinical Director/Head of Department.

These services are provided in the community across the Perth metropolitan area at community health centres, in schools, home visits and through telehealth appointments. Services focus on child health, growth and development, behaviour, immunisation and supporting families.
