About The Role

The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the care team within a specific unit. You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and competent care to Arcare Residents while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Resident Care: Ensuring delivery of high‐quality, person‐centred care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical and emotional needs.
* Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
* Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
* Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
* Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
Skills & Experience
* Current AHPRA registration.
* Minimum of two years' experience.
* Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
* Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
* Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
