Search Media Specialist - Big W

Combine your data analytics and creative thinking to support category growth within our Big W business. Join an engaged team based in Surry Hills. Hybrid role with WFH flexibility (2 days a week from home).

What you'll do

* Oversee annual, quarterly and monthly budget allocations to maximise KPIs (ROAS), optimising across campaigns and channels for the best return.
* Regularly present performance updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, translating complex data into easily understandable insights and making informed recommendations for budget shifts or new strategies.
* Act as a primary SEM contact for Big W, presenting performance data, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and aligning SEM objectives with business goals.
* Stay informed about the latest trends in SEM, including AI, audiences, automation, and the latest ad formats (e.g., Performance Max campaigns). Proactively test new strategies, formats, or platforms and provide insight into their applicability for helping to achieve Big W performance marketing goals.
* Take a lead role in mentoring junior team members, helping them to develop analytical and campaign management skills, and offering guidance on how to approach more complex SEM challenges (e.g., forecasting, advanced data analytics).

What you'll bring

* Several years experience in a hands‐on SEM role.
* Google Shopping & Google Merchant Centre experience essential.
* Experience with bid management tools such as SA360, GA360/GA4, Adobe Analytics and ad servers such as Campaign Manager 360.
* Experience in keyword planning, forecasting & tagging solutions for measurement and audience building.
* Good analytical and problem‐solving abilities, with an ability to collaborate cross‐functionally.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Organised and efficient, able to handle multiple campaigns across a broad range of brands and categories.
