About The Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing/ staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and or midwifery excellence at unit/ward level. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1.

This position is the Nursing Unit Manager for the Cardiothoracic Surgery ward at RPAH and will be working Monday to Friday.

Ideal Candidate

Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Proven clinical management and leadership experience in a tertiary/district health care facility.
Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
Experience in rostering; managing skill mix and care delivery models according to patient/service need.
