Job Description

The Role of a Stores Supervisor involves overseeing all stock control within the organization, including receiving, storing, issuing, and managing materials and finished goods to ensure production continuity and efficient dispatch.

Responsibilities include:

* Supervising daily store operations, including receiving, storage, stock control, and distribution of materials.
* Conducting regular stocktakes.
* Identifying and reporting any stock discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues.
* Accurately labelling, storing, and organizing stock in designated areas.
* Maintaining accurate inventory records within the organization's system.
* Ensuring correct operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
* Chain of responsibility regarding deliveries.
* Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies and supplier issues.
* Establishing and monitoring workforce planning key performance indicators that contribute to operational performance.

Key Performance Indicators Include:

* Stock levels and accuracy.
* Inventory management efficiency.
* Warehouse equipment reliability.
* Delivery timeliness and quality.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

* A bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in a Stores Supervision role within a heavy industrial environment.
* Procurement background experience in industrial settings is highly advantageous.
* Proficiency in inventory management software, particularly SAP, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
* A valid forklift license.
