Active Occupational Therapy
Active Occupational Therapy is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team delivering high-quality, community-based capacity-building services across home, community, and clinical settings.
We specialise in working with adult clients with neurological conditions including spinal cord injury, stroke, acquired brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, and other acquired or degenerative neurological conditions.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver person-centred, functional therapy that supports clients to maximise independence and quality of life.
Your caseload will include work across:
* ADLs, cognition, vision, and upper limb rehabilitation
* Assistive technology assessment and prescription, including wheelchairs
* Home modifications assessment and recommendations
* Functional capacity assessments and comprehensive reporting, including SIL and SDA recommendations
* Therapy delivery across home, community, and clinical environments
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Minimum 2+ years' experience working with adults with neurological conditions
* Strong clinical skills in ADL, cognition, vision, and upper limb therapy
* Experience with assistive technology and home modifications
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong time management and organisational abilities, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and outcomes
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* High professional standards with accountability and commitment to ongoing learning
* Experience working with culturally diverse client groups
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic service environment
* Commitment to quality improvement and knowledge sharing
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
* Current Australian driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle (for community visits)
* Current Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, NDIS Provider Check, Working with Children Check
* Relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
