**The role
As a Merchandise Planner, you will co-create plans, forecasts, and parameters that ensure our range has the right mix, quantity, and price to drive sales, and profit and optimise inventory.
The role looks after planning the Beauty & Cosmetics categories. In this role, you will work alongside our Category Manager and partner with the Replenishment team,
This critical role is also responsible for:
- Developing merchandise financial plans informed by top-down and bottom-up data
- Developing the option plan and setting a framework within which Buyers can select ranges; work with buyers to ensure the range is bought within plan parameters and OTB
- Developing models and forecasts to support accurate financial planning and optimise stock and sales
- Interrogate reports, provide insights and recommendations
- Ensuring optimum stock levels are maintained, managing stock movements, reviewing items for clearance, and controlling aged inventor
**About You
To be successful in this role and thrive in our high-performance culture, you don't necessarily need a background in planning for the Beauty & Cosmetics categories. However, you will have a passion to deliver great customer experience as well as extensive experience using tools like Assortment Planning to partner with commercial leads to drive business insight decisions.
As a Planner, you will have successfully traded a sizeable category in terms of $ value or have at least 5 years of experience planning a market competitive category. You will also have the following:
- Commercial acumen - deliver results through others and thinks ahead
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret results, analyse and plan for the future
- Stakeholder management - is able to influence and positively engage with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change
- Attention to detail with an ability to work to deadlines
- Strong Excel skills & experience with an inventory planning software
