We’re seeking a highly skilled Industrial Radiographer to support classified research and development activities in a secure, purpose-driven environment. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on nationally significant projects involving explosive ordnance inspection and analysis.
What You’ll Do
•Lead radiographic inspections of explosive ordnance (EO), interpreting defects against agreed criteria
•Develop item-specific inspection specifications and new radiographic processes/facilities
•Calculate and establish safe working boundaries for ionising radiation
•Support experimental design and trials documentation
•Manage radiographic equipment and facilities to maintain operational capability
•Travel to other sites as required to conduct inspections
•Use Microsoft applications for documentation and reporting
What You Bring
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in radiographic testing using x-ray equipment (casting experience desirable)
•Strong understanding of ionising radiation safety and operational boundary setup
•Familiarity with safe working practices in technical environments
•Experience with digital radiography equipment and image interpretation
•Proficiency in safety documentation and compliance
•Industrial Radiography Level 2 or 3 certification (desirable)
Security & Confidentiality
•Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
•NDA required following initial application assessment
