Job Opportunity: Category Manager Fleet
We are seeking a seasoned Category Manager Fleet to join our Procurement Team in Pyrmont. As a key partner, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across various categories to develop, source and manage procurement arrangements that deliver value for money and effectively meet business outcomes.
This dynamic role offers you the chance to provide expert guidance on essential disciplines, including procurement excellence, project management, strategic planning, and category management expertise. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your leadership capabilities by spearheading category management initiatives and projects.
The role involves managing large, complex projects in the heavy vehicle sector, as well as ongoing training and development opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement category management plans and strategies to deliver value for money and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Facilitate robust category management across preferred supplier agreements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements in accordance with business objectives.
* Ensure governance compliance and provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders to build expertise in procurement and procurement categories across the organisation.
* Support Procurement Operations Managers with accurate compliance reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience in Procurement Category Management or supply chain management.
* High level of project management experience, with the ability to run and support multiple projects concurrently.
* Experience in driving and implementing process improvements within decentralised and complex businesses.
* Strong sense of urgency and confidence in instigating and promoting change.
* Highly driven with a focus on outcomes and results.
