About Us
Moree Care is a community-based, not-for-profit with offices in Mungindi and Moree.
We support older people, and younger people with disability, and the carers of both these groups, enabling them to live as independently as possible in the community. We provide Aged Care, Meals on Wheels, NDIS services, and Community Transport to everyone in our community who is transport disadvantaged.
About The Role
These positions are casual roles with flexible hours, approximately hours per week. The work includes group and individual social support, personal care and domestic assistance.
Commencing casual rate: SCHADS Level 1 $ 32.88 per hour (with progression to $33.94 per hour after 3 month probation) + super + first aid allowance. Sleep over and weekend rates applicable, depending on your availability.
Essential Competencies
* A current full Drivers Licence
* A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencing employment
* NDIS Worker Check before commencement
* Excellent people skills and a commitment to person-centred service delivery
* An understanding of the needs of older people, people with a disability and their carers
* Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groups
* An ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to innovation and service improvement
* A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Community Services, or equivalent qualification or lived experience of caring and a willingness to enroll in an appropriate course within 3 months of commencing work
Desirable Competencies
* Experience in the aged care, disability or community sectors
