This newly created 6-month contract role offers potential for extension or permanency for the right candidate.Job DescriptionReporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for:Preparing financial statementsMonth-end activities, including balance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsAd hoc analysis and project accounting dutiesProcess improvement initiativesInventory Accounting activities and stocktakeAssisting with budgeting, forecasting, and management reportsManaging tax obligations (BAS returns)Partnering with operations and supply chainThe Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will be/have:Relevant educational background in Accounting or FinanceCA/CPA qualified1-2 years or more experience in a similar roleStrong technical knowledge of accounting standardsExceptional problem-solving abilitiesExcellent numerical skills and attention to detailExperience with a large ERPWhat's on OfferImmediate start availablePotential for extension or conversion to permanentA supportive and engaging work environmentRegular opportunities for career progressionA convenient location in Melbourne's inner NorthHybrid working arrangement
