Overview
Registered Nurse – Home Based Nursing role at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service. Two fixed-term contracts available within the Home Based Nursing team for experienced nurses to provide community nursing across a range of funding streams.
Contract details
* 1x Full-Time, Fixed-Term position. 80.0 hours per fortnight with Accrued Days Off (ADO) to 28.08.2026
* 1x Part-Time, Parental Leave contract. 40.0 hours per fortnight to 28.09.2026
Position
The successful candidate will deliver quality nursing care to a broad range of clients across funding streams including Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) nursing services, wound care, and palliative care. You will perform comprehensive assessments, care planning and care coordination and provide appropriate BRHS and Community service referrals. A key requirement is availability to undertake a variety of shifts across 7 days each week and to participate in an after-hours on-call roster. Responsibilities
* Deliver quality nursing care to clients across CHSP, wound care, and palliative care
* Perform comprehensive assessments and develop goal-based, person-centred care plans
* Coordinate care and arrange BRHS and Community service referrals
* Work across a variety of shifts (7 days per week) and participate in after-hours on-call roster
Key criteria requirements
* Completion of graduate nursing year plus a minimum 3 years acute nursing experience AND at least one year's experience in District Nursing (or comparable Community Nursing or Emergency experience)
* Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
* Demonstrated ability to undertake patient assessments and develop goal-based, person-centred care plans
* Experience in Palliative Care Nursing; relevant qualifications are an advantage
* Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care, Wound Care or High Acuity Care or a commitment to work towards
