Wheelers Hill Junior Campus is part of Caulfield Grammar School, providing early learning and junior campus education in Wheelers Hill.
The Role
We are seeking three dynamic and caring Learning Assistants to join our Learning Strategies Team at the Wheelers Hill Junior Campus. This role reports into the Head of Learning Strategies. All roles are fixed term part time opportunities from 8:30am – 1:00pm Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks per year). You will join a supportive team, working under the direction of classroom teachers on a daily basis to assist students with specific learning needs. As a valued team member, you will make a positive impact on students' experiences and contribute to our school community.
Key Duties
Work collaboratively with teachers and other assistants in the development and implementation of a student-centred educational programme
Use strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
Maintain daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required
Support individual students across different year levels
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills And Experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in a school-based setting would be advantageous
Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent
Experience supporting high needs students through the curriculum
Current or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check
