Job Opportunity: Workplace Health and Safety Advisor
We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This role is responsible for providing expert guidance on workplace health and safety matters.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve workplace health and safety systems, policies, and procedures.
* Provide advice to leaders and workers on workplace health and safety matters.
* Manage Workers' Compensation (WorkCover) obligations, including injury management, return-to-work programs, and claims administration.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles, and incident investigation.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining WHS management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proven experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
* Strong time management skills – ability to effectively manage large projects while completing business as usual tasks.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* High-level analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check during the course of employment.
* Ability to obtain working with vulnerable persons clearance if required.
