The Work Health & Safety Foundation (WHS Foundation), established in 1972, is Western Australia's only not-for-profit work health and safety training and service provider. RTO # 1907. The WHS Foundation is a social purpose organisation involved in the advocacy, education and facilitation of Safer, Healthier Work. About the position
Responsible for the delivery of key activities related to membership, marketing and events management.
Events management – delivery of key events throughout the calendar year, coordination, and execution of events plan.
Writing and posting social media posts.
Creating email marketing campaigns & writing promotional copy.
Active ownership of the membership program updating website, newsletter, and member correspondence.
Provide high quality, efficient and friendly first point of contact and customer service to members and non-members via multiple communication channels.
Business development, coordination of new contact lists and development of key clients.
Membership administration - processing applications, registrations, renewals, and resignations.
Administer certificates, awards and other membership material as required.
Maintenance of website web pages and website changes.
Assistance when required with reception and customer service team.
Candidate requirements
You will need to be energetic and organised to carry out this role. The successful individual will ideally have:
* A practical approach to marketing within a small business environment.
* Proficiency with various social media channels, and content marketing.
* An aptitude to learn, be coachable and resilient.
* An exceptional work ethic and be able to demonstrate that you are a self-starter.
* Flexibility and a willingness to undertake ad-hoc tasks that can (and do!) pop-up at any time.
* Previous work health & safety experience would be highly advantageous.
* Experience in the coordination of events and managing time efficiently.
* Skills and experience with Office programs, WordPress, Photo shop, graphics programs and basic understanding of IT.
* Having a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Marketing, Media and Communications, Public Relations, or Business Management is desirable but not essential.
