Your Role as Senior Clinical Advisor The Senior Clinical Advisor is a pivotal leadership role within the WMQ headspace structure, providing strategic oversight of the Early Career Program and supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical services. The role ensures supervisees are well supported to meet the needs of young people, contributes to the development of innovative, evidence-based practice, and upholds excellence in day-to-day mental health service delivery by: Providing clinical guidance to the WMQ headspace client-facing personnel. Leading, mentoring and supervision of university students and clinical professionals. Delivering expert clinical advice, decision making and assistance on complex casework matters, including providing escalation support if required Providing oversight to the Clinical Centre Managers in appropriately managing referrals and demand for clinical services, and leading of allocation, clinical and caseload reviews Facilitating the development and implementation of new projects and initiatives. This role is based in Capalaba but will require occasional travel to Hervey Bay and Maryborough. This role is fixed term until February 2027. What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualification in Nursing or an Allied Health discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapy) Full AHPRA registration or AASW membership, with Medicare (MBS) billing eligibility Advanced clinical expertise across complex mental health settings, including youth mental health. Proven capability in complex triage, assessment, referral allocation, and service development, underpinned by continuous quality improvement. Excellence in clinical governance, including regular clinical reviews and high-quality documentation. A confident self-starter who works independently and collaboratively within high-performing teams. Essential Requirements Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
