**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our City Services Directorate within the Environment and Development Services Unit. You will be responsible for providing a full range of timely, confidential, administrative and executive support and related services to the Executive Manager Environmental Health and Development Services.
This role will liaise with internal and external customers including residents, businesses and the public whilst providing effective diary management by prioritising and organising meetings with stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to prepare correspondence and reports, research information, preparation of presentations and letter writing in an efficient manner utilising your excellent communication skills.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position
- Experience in providing support and assistance to senior level staff including the provision of confidential administrative support at all times
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, identify priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently and effectively
- Previous experience in meeting procedures and processes
- Ability to handle challenges and utilise problem solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly in a team environment
- Strong organisational and judgement skills, with the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 35 hour week, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands Admin Office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council's work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,464.40 to $1,684.06 per week per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
