Overview
This position offers an experienced AP manager the opportunity to oversee national billing operations while working within a highly supportive and adaptable team environment.
Responsibilities
* Report to the Shared Services Manager and manage a team of five.
* Accountable for the day‐to‐day management of the billing and e‐billing function nationally.
* Ensure accurate, timely invoicing and compliance with client requirements.
* Oversee key processes such as month‐end billing, complex billing arrangements, and e‐billing submissions.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation and efficiency.
* Act as the main escalation point for billing issues and support financial reporting, audits, and revenue activities.
* Develop and coach the billing team, enhance capabilities across the firm, and collaborate closely with partners and internal stakeholders to implement best practices.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an established people manager with a proven record of mentoring and inspiring staff. Experience in billings is preferred, although candidates with broader exposure in multi‐disciplinary transactional finance roles such as shared services, accounts, or practice managers are welcome. Outstanding communication skills, a natural leadership presence, and a passion for coaching and mentoring staff are essential.
