**St Andrews Medical Centre**

Join our Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide team in a role that supports our Icon Specialists consulting off-site at the
**St Andrews Medical Centre **(321 South Tce).

Who are we looking for to join our team?
- With the location of the role being away from our main site within the Tennyson Centre, we're hoping to find an experienced Medical Receptionist or Secretary who thrives working independently. Administration experience in specialist consulting rooms or similar environment is very highly regarded._

**The Role**

We have a new opportunity for a
**Medical Receptionist** to join us on a
**permanent full-time** basis, working Monday to Friday (38hrs), supporting Icon Specialists consulting out of clinic rooms within St Andrews Medical Centre.

The role reports to our Senior Administration Manager based at our Day Hospital centre within the Tennyson Centre (Kurralta Park), and joins a larger administration team supporting our doctors, nurses & patients both on and off site.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

- Scheduling/organising patient appointments, organise day lists for consultant
- Prep consult rooms and paperwork for each clinical session
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Communicate fee schedules and enter/process patient invoicing and billing (Private Health and Medicare)
- Coordinate referrals for radiology, pathology etc
- Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients
- Oversee wait room and respond to patient queries
- Supporting Icon's WHS Officers and committees to effectively carry out their responsibilities

**About You**
- Medical specialist reception or secretarial experience highly advantageous
- Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Insurance favourable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written
- Ability to use computer systems - competence required in Word and Excel
- Delivery of excellent client service (to internal and/or external clients)
- Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology favourable
