Ecological Project Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Ecological Project Manager to lead and grow our expanding fee-for-service arm, overseeing high-quality ecological projects across Mackay and Central Highlands regions.
This diverse, hands-on role suits someone with strong leadership, technical ecological knowledge, and passion for practical conservation and land management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and deliver ecological consulting and environmental services, ensuring exceptional outcomes for clients and partners.
* Lead ecological restoration and revegetation projects, leveraging expertise in flora and fauna management.
* Oversee fauna, flora, and habitat surveys, ecological drone surveys, and environmental assessments, providing actionable insights to inform project decisions.
* Manage integrated pest flora and fauna programs, developing effective solutions to complex ecological challenges.
* Provide expert land management and bushland management advice to clients, partners, and landholders, fostering collaborative relationships and driving project success.
* Coordinate site rehabilitation activities, ensuring efficient and sustainable project delivery.
Leadership & Team Coordination:
* Lead and support field staff, subcontractors, and volunteers during project delivery, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Provide clear direction, coaching, and on-ground support to ensure high performance and safe work practices, aligning with organizational values and expectations.
* Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, optimizing project efficiency and productivity.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landholders, contractors, and partner organisations, driving business growth and development through effective communication and collaboration.
* Prepare project proposals, quotes, budgets, and work plans for fee-for-service activities, ensuring accurate and timely project delivery.
* Communicate project progress clearly with stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust throughout the project lifecycle.
