Quality Inspector - CAF Rail Australia - Dubbo

We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector that will directly report to the Quality Manager within the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre based in Dubbo. The role is responsible for processing audits in suppliers, reviewing supplier certificates, carrying out inspections at source, writing reports and coordinating activities to ensure that the quality of final‐parts, products and sub‐assemblies is up to the highest standards. The inspector will also conduct inspections on the manufacturing assembly line and perform process audits to ensure quality approval for release of final parts.
Responsibilities
* Manage quality projects to meet specific requirements and satisfy customers.
* Operate all types of measurement equipment.
* Participate in various improvement plans.
* Investigate and identify possible risks.
* Improve business processes to ensure high quality of products.
* Facilitate adequate communication with all stakeholders for projects.
* Assist manufacturing with analysis and problem solving as needed.
* Conduct analysis to produce indicators, statistics and presentations.
* Promote a quality culture throughout the company.
* Manage priorities in line with objectives.
* Ensure compliance with all HSE legislation and company policy.
* Adhere to department and company policies, procedures and processes.
* Support other departments and carry out other duties as required by the line manager.
* Ensure all work is compliant with organizational quality management systems, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar or related role.
* Tertiary qualification relevant to the position (e.g., certified accreditation in Mechanical or Electrical fields) or workplace experience in relevant industries such as Engineering, Automotive, Rail Construction, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Electrical/Electronics, Construction, or Civil construction.
* Experience with office management software (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Word).

About the Project
The NSW Government is replacing the NSW regional rail fleet of XPT, XPLORER and Endeavour trains with 29 safer, more comfortable and more accessible trains for customers travelling across NSW and between Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.
As part of the Regional Rail project, the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre in Dubbo will receive a new talented team for train completion works (manufacturing, testing and quality activities), with potential transition in the future to the Warranty & Maintenance teams.
