PHL Surveyorsis a surveying and planning consultancy firm with offices in Griffith and Bungendore NSW. We have a staff of 22 including 3 Registered Surveyors. We are seeking to employ a qualified Survey Technician in our Griffith office. This role will provide a great opportunity to expand your skills and work within an established team environment.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Technician to join our business to undertake field surveying and office procedures under direct or indirect supervision of the Directors, including the preparation of accurate survey data, drawings and documentation. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet project and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Take instructions from Directors and liaise with other surveying professionals to progress jobs in a timely manner
* Maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all surveying tasks
* Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, architects and other professionals to ensure that survey data aligns with project requirements
* Convert sketches, field notes and preliminary drawings into final products for presentation using CAD software
* Generate 3D models for Engineering Construction
* Utilise accepted draughting conventions in computer files and drawings
* Adhere to Land Titles Office requirements for plan presentation
* Utilise software to process and analyse collected surveying information, and create diagrams, reports and maps
Qualification and experienced required:
* Relevant Diploma or above qualification with at least one-year relevant experience
* A team player and well-presented in the office and field
* Experience in Surveying GIS software and system
* High computer literacy with proficiency of Microsoft Office, Adobe and similar
* Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised
* Suitably experienced in CAD and Office suite
* Willing to learn and trustworthy and proactive in dealing with clients
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
