OverviewThe payroll officer is responsible for driving excellence in the employee experience across Demant ANZ supporting the coordination of HR operational activities that strive to achieve productivity and efficiency through the employee life cycle.Also responsible for end-to-end payroll function including pay query handling and payroll processing adhering to legislative compliance within the area of payroll management; the data integrity of the Payroll, Time & Attendance and HRIS Systems; development and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting.Supporting the Demant ANZ Line Managers, Employees and the HR Team in performing a variety of transactional requests, including but not limited to process HR administrative activities, HR generalist advice, WHS, project management support, SME in all HR systems.ResponsibilitiesThe payroll officer is responsible for driving excellence in the employee experience across Demant ANZ and coordinating HR operational activities to achieve productivity and efficiency through the employee life cycle.Manage end-to-end payroll function including pay query handling, payroll processing, and ensuring legislative compliance for payroll management.Ensure data integrity across Payroll, Time & Attendance, and HRIS systems.Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc reports.Support Demant ANZ Line Managers, Employees, and the HR Team with transactional requests, HR administrative activities, HR generalist advice, WHS, project management support, andBecome SME in HR systems.What you will needHave previous knowledge and experience with high-volume payroll processing across multiple employing entities.Experience processing payroll for 1000-2000 employees as part of high-volume operations.Recent experience of end-to-end in-house payroll processing in Access Micropay (essential).
Minimum of 1 year of Access Micropay experience for end-to-end payroll processing.Ability to perform well in a busy working environment.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential).
Sound knowledge of Australian payroll policies & processes, legislation, and statutory requirements (essential).
Sound knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation (highly desirable).
