SRO is a leading events and activations business delivering large-scale festivals, major public events, and premium live experiences across the Northern Territory and interstate. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead end-to-end operational delivery across our event portfolio.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in live environments, understands compliance and logistics, and can confidently manage complex sites from planning through to delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with Event Leads, the Site Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and on-ground delivery of SRO events.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead overall festival and event operations planning and delivery
* Liaise closely with the Managing Director and Event Leads for projects
* Oversee council documentation, permits, approvals, and compliance
* Develop and manage timelines, bump in and out schedules, site plans, maps, and operational schedules
* Coordinate contractors and smooth bump in and out of suppliers, security, staging, and logistics
* Ensure WHS, crowd management, emergency, and risk management plans are implemented
* Manage on-site operations during bump-in, event days, and bump-out
* Troubleshoot operational issues in real time
* Support post-event reporting, debriefs, and continuous improvement
About You
* Proven experience in live events, festivals, or large-scale productions
* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in live events, festivals, or large-scale productions required
* Strong understanding of council processes, permits, and compliance
* Demonstrated experience managing contractors and on-site teams
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Calm, solutions-focused, and able to operate under pressure
* Highly organised with the ability to meet tight and shifting deadlines
* Willing to work in a hands on role
* Australian work rights are required for this position
Role Requirements
* Combination of office-based planning and on-site delivery during event periods
* Must have a valid white card and forklift licence
* Must be based in Darwin
* Ability to travel as required
* Travel requirements are minimal during wet season for interstate events
