About this opportunity:
Kanda is inviting expressions of interest from Support workers to support and empower our growing client base and join our community nursing team to provide care to improve health outcomes for our Veteran (DVA) community living at home in Victoria's Geelong Region. This is a great way to experience work-life balance in a friendly, supportive and progressive team environment.
Shifts Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend shared amongst the team. You will be required to assist clients with personal care, light domestic assistance, and shopping.
You will be required to visit multiple clients throughout the Geelong Region, therefore a wide travel radius may be expected.
This is a Casual Role with the ability to build upon your roster. You will be paid for the entirety of the shift with a 99cents per km allowance also included for travel between clients.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, and with the guidance of Registered Nurses, you will receive support during your work across the community care sector.
What we require:
* Minimum 12 months experience in a comparable role
* Cert III Aged, Disability or Community Care
* Your own fully insured, reliable vehicle
* Covid Vaccinations x 2 (essential for work in Aged Care sector)
* National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
* Current Working with children check
* Current First Aid/CPR
* Manual Handling Certificate
