About the Role
* The People Operations Business Partner will be responsible for handling a range of responsibilities, from workforce transition and recruitment to policy adherence and employee support.
* The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Mobilisation Phase:
o Assist in workforce transition, including recruitment and onboarding processes.
o Develop and deliver training programs to support the development of employees.
o Create position descriptions and communication strategies for transitioning employees.
o Collaborate with the People Support team to implement record management systems.
o Ensure compliance with safety processes and culture.
o Manage logistics for interviews, training, and onboarding.
* Operational Phase:
o Investigate complaints and ensure policy adherence.
o Coach and mentor managers on performance management and HR processes.
o Act as the first point of contact for Union inquiries.
o Oversee performance reviews, training administration, and audit compliance.
o Support recruitment for talent attraction strategies and maintain staff pipelines.
o Provide HR support, resolve employee queries, and lead safety initiatives.
o Manage workers' comp claims and HR-related systems.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years' generalist HR experience, preferably in blue-collar or healthcare environments.
* Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
* Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers.
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine preventable diseases.
Experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
