We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead our national expansion. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee the operational performance of Porter Plant's workshops, field service, spare parts, and transport. Your pragmatic approach and strong leadership skills will set the vision, execute strategic plans, and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximise fleet availability and lifecycle.
* Manage workflows for planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring compliance and optimal resource scheduling.
* Oversee budget planning, analysis, and reporting to drive business growth.
* Monitor workforce allocation, balancing in-house mechanics and external contractors.
* Conduct annual reviews of contractors and suppliers, securing procurement opportunities.
* Drive productivity KPIs and manage urgent maintenance issues on a 24/7 basis.
* Ensure accurate data capture and reporting via internal systems and fleet management software.
* Maintain OH&S standards in partnership with the HSEQ Manager.
* Monitor major contracts for compliance, asset downtime, and dispute resolution.
* Manage branches ensuring KPI's are met and workshops are compliant.
* Champion employee training and continuous improvement initiatives.
