About the Role
Working within the Managed Services arm of this MSP, this role will be responsible for leading technical support.
The Senior Network Support Engineer role is designed to resolve complex technical issues, perform advanced configurations, and provide guidance on the technical strategy for customer environments. This position requires strong technical expertise across multiple platforms and the ability to lead in‐depth problem resolution.
In this role you are at the frontline of change, supporting cutting‐edge tech across Viptela or Cisco SD‐WAN, Cisco, FortiGate, Azure and AWS, while helping elevate service maturity for a purpose‐driven client.
Responsibilities
* Resolve complex Level 2/3 escalations across networking, firewalls, switches and routers
* Perform deep‐drop troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement long‐term fixes
* Excellent customer service skills
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues (Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, Azure)
* Administer helpdesk and ticketing systems for optimal performance
* Lead smooth technical onboarding for new customers
* Mentor and upskill junior engineers through training and knowledge sharing
* Conduct proactive infrastructure reviews and provide strategic IT recommendations
* Build trusted relationships with customers as their go‐to technical advisor
About You
* Proven experience in IT support, service desk, or MSP environments
* Advanced technical knowledge in:
o Networking & Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, VLANs, routing, firewall rules and SD‐WAN (Cisco or Viptela))
o Cloud (Azure, AWS)
o Backup & DR solutions
o Security (endpoint protection, VPNs)
* Proven experience with and ticketing systems
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tech in plain language
* A proactive, collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
