About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef de partie to join the talented culinary team at Bread In Common, our highly regarded restaurant located in the vibrant city of Fremantle, Western Australia. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kitchen, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative hospitality environment.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistent quality and flavour
* Assist the head chef in the planning and execution of daily menus, specials, and new dish development
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work station, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support the smooth running of the kitchen
* Contribute to the ongoing development and training of junior kitchen staff
* Actively participate in menu planning and recipe refinement to enhance the dining experience
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a chef de partie or equivalent role in a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, delicious, and visually appealing dishes
* Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Knowledge of modern cooking techniques, menu planning, and food trends within the Hospitality & Tourism industry
