About this Role
This is a Cyber Security Architect position where you will be responsible for designing and implementing application security controls across cloud-based and hybrid environments.
As a strategic leader, you will provide guidance on security architecture design, integration, and governance to ensure alignment with enterprise security standards.
Your focus will be on enabling secure business operations while identifying gaps, vulnerabilities, and potential attack vectors in corporate applications.
You will collaborate with solution architects and application teams to strengthen security across existing platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and implementing application security controls aligned with industry standards and best practices.
* Conducting security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and developing remediation plans.
* Collaborating with application teams to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
* Providing architectural leadership in Security Operations Centre (SOC) tooling and threat hunting, particularly with Microsoft Sentinel.
* Applying security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, ACSC ISM and the ASD Essential Eight to design secure solutions.
* Strong understanding of enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure security.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a cybersecurity role, with demonstrated experience as a security architect.
* Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and project stakeholders.
