About this Role
You will offer professional insight, supporting the Executive Manager HR & Safety, Senior Leadership Team, and stakeholders. Your expertise in industrial relations and superior HR practices knowledge will ensure adherence and effective oversight with a grounded approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist advice on statutory obligations, management, and compliance.
* Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations, providing advice on high-risk matters.
* Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for the organisation.
* Ensure accurate employee relations advice and best practice processes for sound workplace relations.
* Oversee payroll process and function in accordance with compliance requirements.
Credentials of a Strategic HR Leader
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or equivalent qualification/experience. Minimum seven years' HR generalist experience, with demonstrated experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and Fair Work Commission matters. Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check.
A seasoned HR professional with emotional intelligence, empathy, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving ability. Previous experience in Local Government or other public sector context is ideal.
