Who’s hiring?
We are Puretec—an industry leader in water purification with over 35 years of innovation, technical expertise, and customer-first thinking behind us. We design, manufacture, and supply high-quality, sustainable water filtration systems for domestic and commercial applications, with a presence across Australia and New Zealand. At the heart of our success? A strong team culture built on positivity, humility, and loyalty.
Our vision is to be the world’s best water purification manufacturer. That means delivering outstanding quality and value, leading innovation, and building long-term relationships with our customers, suppliers, and team. We’re known for our ‘yes-first’ attitude, our commitment to continuous improvement, and our Friday lunches!
So, what’s the role?
As Procurement Manager, you’ll lead our AU/NZ procurement strategy, manage supplier relationships, and drive value through smarter sourcing, inventory optimisation, and supply chain performance. This newly created position reflects our continued growth, and you’ll have a real opportunity to shape the function, lead a high-performing team, and partner closely with vendors and stakeholders to deliver results.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be responsible for:
• Leading and mentoring a team of three: Purchasing Officer, Supply Coordinator & Inventory Coordinator
• Building strong, strategic partnerships with local and international suppliers
• Driving cost optimisation, resilience, and inventory performance
• Using data to inform decisions and proactively manage supply risk
• Managing supplier contracts, compliance, and performance frameworks
• Forecasting and planning using Netstock and NetSuite (training available)
• Keeping backorders low and stock availability high
• Supporting your team with daily huddles, one-on-ones, and ongoing development
A typical week might include:
• Negotiating with key suppliers and reviewing trading terms
• Conducting structured supplier reviews and reporting on key metrics
• Using market intelligence to navigate risks and uncover opportunities
• Overseeing supply planning and stock movement across AU/NZ
• Collaborating across teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational and customer goals
• Sharing your ideas, solving problems, and helping to shape our supply strategy
Let’s talk about you.
You’re commercially astute, detail-oriented and passionate about improvement. You know how to build strong relationships, both with your team and your suppliers. You’re experienced enough to work independently, but collaborative enough to lift those around you. You bring strong strategic thinking—and the confidence to turn it into action.
You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management (ideally in manufacturing or distribution)
• Strong leadership skills and a background in managing or developing a team
• Excellent negotiation and contract management experience
• Advanced Excel and ERP skills (NetSuite/Netstock experience highly regarded)
• Sharp commercial and analytical thinking
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
• A degree in Supply Chain, Business or similar—or equivalent industry experience
• A current driver’s licence
What’s in it for you?
• A strategic, long-term role in a thriving SA business with national reach
• A supportive, engaged leader who backs your growth and values your input
• A strong, high-performing team culture and a chance to shape something new
• Opportunities for career development and continued learning
• Flexible start/finish times to suit your lifestyle
• Free lunch every Friday—and a workplace that truly values downtime
• A modern office and onsite parking in Lonsdale (just off the expressway)
