About the Opportunity

dedicated
Sewerage Operations Coordinator
to lead our Sewer Construction
& Maintenance Teams within Utilities Operations.
In this role, you will coordinate the installation, repair,
and maintenance of sewerage mains and rising mains, while supervising teams and
contractors to ensure high-quality and compliant outcomes. You will also
provide technical input, quality assurance, and support continuous improvement
initiatives across PMHC's sewerage operations.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have
* Proven experience in the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure, particularly sewerage systems.
* Strong leadership skills with experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
* Ability to manage emergency repairs and coordinate resources under pressure.
* Understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, and the ability to ensure team compliance.
* Proven oral and written communication skills.
* Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
* Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call roster.
* Current Drivers Licence and White Card.
On a Typical Day This Role Will
* Lead and coordinate the Sewer Construction & Maintenance Teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant sewerage operations.
* Manage day-to-day activities, ensuring work meets required standards, timeframes, and budgets.
* Participate in design reviews and provide quality assurance on works performed by others.
* Develop programs and detailed budget estimates for water and sewer renewals.
* Engage and manage contractors as required.
* Monitor daily operations of sewerage systems via SCADA as needed.
* Respond to emergencies and organise staff, materials, and equipment efficiently.
* Identify, manage, and support safety, training, and HR needs of staff.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across sewerage operations.
* Promote a positive, professional, and presentable Council image.
* Participate in the after-hours on-call roster and develop the sewer operations roster.

Remuneration And Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Starting salary of $97,130.47 to $108,719.03 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus 12% Super, on call allowance and sewer choke allowance - on shift.
This role qualifies for a Vehicle allowance.
