About The Role
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist or Administration Officer to join us on a full time basis. Start date 5/1/2026. Hospital experience is desired but not essential. Monday to Friday flexible roster, must be able to work shifts between 6.15 am and 6 pm - no weekends or public holidays.
Duties And Responsibilities
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, VMO's rooms, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices. You will:
- Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Liaise with patients prior to admission and ensure accurate entry of relevant patient data into the Patient Administration System (PAS), including privacy and financial consent
- Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of patient/theatre information and reporting
- Maintaining strictest confidentiality at all times
- Assist with other ad hoc administrative duties as directed E.g. collect and post mail
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital
About You
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting desirable but not essential
- A high level of computer skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and staff
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
