My Team Support Services is a registered NDIA provider who are excited to be coming to the Echuca/Moama and surrounds region. We are highly experienced in delivering in home, community and Supported Independent Living services and pride ourselves in our communication and ethical delivery of services.
Summary:
We are seeking Disability Support Workers who either have experience in high-needs care or are eager to be trained in this specialised area. You'll be working closely with clients to support their daily living, routines, meeting sensory and regulation needs, and community engagement. The role is based in Echuca, and applications will be considered as they are received.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hours are varied across a 24-hour, 7 day a week structured roster
* Administer medication and monitor health conditions
* Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
* Develop and implement individualized care plans
* Deliver personal care and support tailored to individual needs
* Support clients with hygiene, meal preparation, and social activities
* Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and team members
* Maintain accurate records and uphold professional standards
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
What We're Looking For:
* Willingness to undertake training in complex disability support and behaviour management strategies
* Compassionate, reliable, and respectful attitude
* Strong communication, problem solving, listening and teamwork skills
* Ability to take on constructive feedback in a solution focused manner
* An interest in ongoing professional development and learning
* Cert III or IV in Disability Support (or working towards)
* Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Driver's License
* Initially positions will be Casual with a view to move to part time
Qualifications:
* Experience in high-needs disability support (preferred but not essential)
* Certification in disability support or related field preferred (or working towards)
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Compassionate and patient demeanor
* Ability to handle challenging behaviors and situations
