Role Description

This is Casual, Personal Care Worker/Support Worker role based in the Randwick City and surrounding suburbs. The Personal Care Worker/Support Worker will provide person‐centred in‐home support, including assistance with personal care (such as showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing), medication prompts within scope, and mobility support. Daily responsibilities include helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and other domestic tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. The role also involves offering social support and companionship, escorting clients to appointments or community activities, and providing respite for family carers. The worker will follow individual care plans, document care provided, report changes in client condition to supervisors or clinical staff, and uphold all safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant care qualifications such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a similar community services qualification (or working toward these).
• Demonstrated experience in providing personal care, domestic assistance, and mobility support in home or community settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, show empathy, and support clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and report observations clearly to supervisors and clinical staff.
• Reliable, punctual, and organised, with the capacity to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing client needs.
• Understanding of person‐centred care, dignity of risk, professional boundaries, and client rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
• Current driver's licence, access to a reliable insured vehicle is preferred.
