About the Role
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving growth within your territory and maintaining strong customer relationships across the food service and retail industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with a diverse client base, understanding their business needs, ordering cycles, and sales requirements.
* Prospect and secure new customers across supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, cafés, catering companies, and specialty retailers.
* Deliver excellent customer service, including order management, issue resolution, and proactive client support.
* Drive sales growth by developing new stockists and increasing order volume with existing customers.
* Coordinate timely delivery of sales orders and ensure client satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and any problems arising.
* Work with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and merchandising events.
* Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
* Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
* Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders.
* Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services.
Key Skills & Experience
Must‑Have
* Proven at least 1 year experience in sales, preferably within food distribution, FMCG, or related industries.
* Strong relationship‑building with a wide customer base.
* Ability to work independently, meet sales targets, and manage a sales territory effectively.
* Valid driver's license and professional presentation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor in Marketing or Business Administration.
* Knowledge of WA food service and catering supply channels (including mining catering).
* Experience in specialty or health‑conscious food categories.
* Previous merchandising and promotional campaign experience.
