Key Responsibilities Linen Duties Change bed linens and prepare beds for new admissions, discharges, and patient transfers. Replace sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and mattress protectors according to hospital protocols. Transport soiled linen to designated collection areas. Restock clean linen supplies in wards and storage rooms. Report linen shortages or quality issues to supervisors. Waste Management Collect general waste, clinical waste, and recycling from wards and service areas. Segregate waste according to hospital guidelines and infection‑control procedures. Safely transport waste to disposal points or holding areas. Maintain cleanliness of waste bins and disposal equipment. Follow all safety protocols when handling clinical and biohazard waste. General Support Maintain cleanliness of assigned hospital areas as required. Assist nursing and support staff with non-clinical tasks when appropriate. Ensure all activities comply with Work Health & Safety (WHS) and infection control procedures. Report hazards, damaged equipment, or environmental concerns promptly.
